  1. Hello Dr. Kubacki,

I’ve been following your blog for a short time since becoming interested in medical training back in 2012. I saved a e-copy of an article from Ohio University featuring you and your family involved in medical missions in Brazil, as it seemed to challenge my faith and greatly motivated me to pursue medicine. Now 3+ years later, I’ve been struggling with the question of whether or not to pursue a D.O. degree, as opposed to the shorter process of becoming a physician assistant. I’m very interested in preventative medicine, as well as endocrinology (I am a type 1 diabetic). My question to you is: Which do you think is the wiser investment? Do you believe that being a physician provides a distinct advantage within your practice over the past several years, particularly during your missions work? I go back and forth every so often, and was hoping to get your perspective.

I have brought up your family and all they are doing in obedience to the Lord, and we are praying for you. Our small group in Cleveland, OH has a family whom hosts us all (some extraordinary, lovely people) who are preparing for possible work in Africa in the coming years, so it resonated with them. I will continue to bring up your blog to the group, so that we may pray for you and your local community.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I pray (in Jesus’ name) it finds you well.

    Sincerely,
    Luke
